Curtis Wiles was born and raised in the Flat Rock Community of our school district. Mr. Wiles and his wife, Rose Jackson Wiles, later moved to the Starr Community of our school district where they currently reside. They have 2 daughters and a son in law, Kathryn Boggs, Andy Boggs and Sarah Wiles, and a Boykin Spaniel named Palmer Twiggs.
Mr. Wiles holds an Associate in Industrial Technology from Tri-County Technical College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Management from Limestone College.
Mr. Wiles is a Real Estate Broker working in the industry for the past 12 years. Previously, he was a manufacturing manager in the fiber glass industry. At age 16, he was employed by Anderson Three as a school bus driver and served 3 years until graduating in the Crescent High School Class of ‘83.
Mr. Wiles and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Iva. He is a Past Master of Hermon Lodge No. 116. He is a past President of the Starr Athletic Association and Past President and current officer of the Tiger Touchdown Club.
Mr. Wiles was appointed to the Board in 2001 and has served as Chairman and Secretary. He has served on the Anderson County Alternative School Board. Mr. Wiles was recognized in 2012 by the South Carolina School Boards Association for his level of achievement in Leadership Training.
