Attention families of K4, K5, 1st, & 2nd grade students: Flat Rock has created a virtual classroom for your little one to explore while at home. 💻 Our virtual classroom includes activities, videos, games, read-alouds, and practice for reading, math, and phonics! Links are designed to reinforce what your child is learning in the classroom. Is your child learning to speak English? We have a slide for that, too!
Almost every object in our classroom is linked to an external activity. As you hover, wait for the mouse to turn into a "hand" to click. When you're ready to return to the home page, click the orange icon with the white house in the lower right corner of each slide.
Our virtual classroom will work on a laptop, Chromebook, tablet, or cellular device. Make sure if you are using a tablet or phone to click the "play" button to present on the device. ▶️
We are currently in the process of creating a similar virtual classroom for our upper elementary students as well. Stay tuned! 🤩

Students spent the week reading picturebooks that reflect our expectations at Flat Rock:
Be respectful, be responsible, be safe, and do your best. Each student used Book Creator to create a presentation to include text evidence and a tip for each book.
Way to set an example, 5th graders! 🤩
We are ready for a great week of MAP testing! Please make sure your child is well rested and ready to do his/her best on testing days. 💻✏️

Our K4 students are busy learning their colors and would love for our Flat Rock family to support them over the next two weeks. Please see the graphic to find out which color to wear each day. 🖍️🎨
Remember: No costumes or hats. These colors should be part of students' normal attire.
