Mrs. Brown's class learned all about fire safety last week. They finished off the unit with an experiment, which allowed them to extinguish a "fire" with baking soda and vinegar!





Next week, Iva Elementary says โBOO!โ to drugs! Red Ribbon Week starts Monday. Donโt forget to wear red!

Iva Elementary's Robotics Team did a fantastic job at Thursday night's District Robotics Competition. We're so proud of the Galaxy Gang, and of all the hard work they have put in this year!

Fifth-grade STEM students used their knowledge of the Industrial Revolution to engineer assembly lines. The students worked together to create colored "bricks" for a toy company.



Mrs. O'Quinn's Kindergarten class received lap desks, scoop chairs, and clipboards for each student! A special thanks to a sweet family for their generous donation!


K5 kids had a great trip to Callaham Orchard's pumpkin patch!

Congratulations to Iva Elementary for winning the golden shoe award at the 9th annual Tiger Trot! We were so happy to see so many of our students come out and have FUN at the Color run!


The Rotary Club of the Greater Anderson Area visited third-grade students today and gifted them with their own dictionaries! Thank you Rotary Club!


Fourth and fifth-graders aimed for the stars at this week's STEM Family Night! Students worked with their families to design and build rockets.




WYFF has incorrectly stated that all Anderson County districts are closed tomorrow. At this time, all Anderson County districts are open except Anderson 5. The other districts, including Anderson 3, plan to be on regular schedule tomorrow. The superintendents continue to monitor weather conditions and will have a conference call Thursday morning at 5 a.m. Any changes based on weather conditions will be announced after that call.
