December Employee of the Month! Congratulations to Deanna Phifer. Mrs. Phifer is a remarkable asset to our school. She has amazing ideas that she is always willing to share and she puts forth 100% effort to help both her students and her colleagues. She is always positive and is quick to brighten your day.
This week students at Starr Elementary read the book Chrysanthemum to demonstrate how mean words can affect someone. Students promised to be kind to their classmates by placing a bandaid on the heart. "Before you speak, think and be smart. It's hard to fix a wrinkled heart."
Mrs. Fowler's class began designing and building prototypes for the Jet Toy Challenge, and they already look amazing!

Second graders researched Artic animals in library. Now they are creating a StopMotion with green screen effects about the life cycle of their animal!
1st graders are working through the Engineering Design Process and trying to save the polar bears by building icebergs!

Starr Parents! Our amazing first graders have worked hard to prepare for the Holiday Market. It will take place tomorrow (12/13). Prices will range from 50 cents to $5. Pictures with Santa are $5. Please send money with your child tomorrow for the Holiday Market!
November Employee of the Month
Congratulations to Lone Keasler. She was named our November Employee of the Month. She is an amazing leader and role model for our students. Ms. Lone always has a smile on her face and she works hard to provide for our school each and every day. Our students, faculty and staff are so appreciative of the love she shows us.
Anderson School District 3 will be on a 2 hour delay Tuesday, December 11th.
