Virtual and Face-to-face students will have an eLearning day. There will be no virtual classes meeting via Google Meet. All eLearning assignments will be posted in Google Classroom or dispersed via eLearning Folders.

Welcome, Mr. Franklin Pruitt Jr.!
Mr. Pruitt has joined the A3 team as the Media Clerk at Starr-Iva Middle School! He also serves as a bus driver for the district.
Mr. Pruitt is the pastor of St. Paul AME Church Cokesbury in Hodges.
Franklin and his wife Melissa have been married for 36 years. Together they have two children and four grandchildren. Mr. Pruitt's hobbies include golf and spending time with grandchildren. Franklin holds a Bachelor's Degree from Anderson University, a Masters in Management from Southern University, and a Masters of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West.

All eighth-grade students who take English I honors and/or algebra I honors will participate in the PSAT on Wednesday, October 14th here at Starr-Iva Middle School. The test will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. Please note there will be no make-up opportunity for this test.

Today is the last day to purchase technology insurance for Chromebooks. After today, if damage is reported, the full price of repair will be charged. If you haven't already purchased the $30 technology insurance and wish to do so, you may pay online through eFunds, or contact your student's school.
Census workers will hold a drive-through 2020 Census assistance event on Friday, September 25, from 3-5 PM at the Starr Town Hall. Census participation in the Starr-Iva area continues to be the lowest in the county. Each person counted equals approx. $809 in funding! Due to considerations regarding a COVID-19 test result, all in-person activities for Varsity, JV and C-Team Football will be suspended until October 1, 2020. We will work to reschedule games during this time. We continue to monitor the protocols provided by the CDC and DHEC. Ms. Boyce has joined the A3 Teaching Team as a Special Services teacher at Starr-Iva Middle School!
Carrie has been teaching special education for over 21 years. She most recently taught at McCants Middle School in Anderson 5. Carrie and her husband are originally from Illinois but have lived in South Carolina with their four sons for 20 years. She is a huge Chicago Cubs fan, loves to golf, and participate in community theater. She enjoys spending time with her family and three dogs.
