The end of the 2nd Nine Weeks is quickly approaching and will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 11th. Please encourage your student to turn in any missing or outstanding work to their teachers ASAP. Also, please understand that some due dates are firm and have passed. It is best for your student to check with the teacher directly on the acceptance of the assignment.
This is a friendly reminder that we will dismiss from school tomorrow (Fri. Dec. 17th) at 10:45am. Please make sure your student has a ride to pick them up at this time.
Attention Band, Chorus and Strings Families - It is with much sadness that due to unforeseen circumstances that we are going to have to postpone our Holiday Concert that was previously scheduled for Wednesday (Dec. 15th) at 1:00pm. We appreciate your understanding of this change and look forward to celebrating your student(s) through music in the spring.
One additional note - Students are coming home today (Thurs. 12/9) with a blue sheet containing information on our upcoming Winter iReady Diagnostic test. Students' present levels from the fall diagnostic and goals for the winter are outlined as well as other important information. We are also asking for a parent/guardian signature at the bottom of the sheet.
The "Jingle Ball" dance at SIMS will take place tomorrow (Fri. Nov. 10th) immediately after school in the gym from 3:30pm to 5:40pm for those students who have already purchased tickets. Ticket sales are complete at this time and will no longer be sold. Please make sure your attending students' ride is ready to pick them up at the end of the dance. Students not picked up on time may lose the privilege of attending future afterschool events. 6th grade attendees (and any of their siblings in 7th/8th grade) will be picked up on the car-rider side of the school. 7th and 8th grade attendees (with no 6th grade siblings) will be picked up in the bus parking lot.
Friendly Reminder - Midterms for the 2nd Nine Weeks will come home with students tomorrow (Tues. Nov. 23rd). Please be on the lookout for these. You are also always welcome to check students' grades on Parent Portal or Student Portal in PowerSchool.
Our Make-Up Work Session for the 2nd Nine Weeks (Midterm Session) will be hosted on Friday (11/19) of this week. To earn the reward for these days, students must have all assignments turned in or have their missing/outstanding work turned in no later than tomorrow night (Wed. 11/17 by 11:59pm). The work must be complete and of quality. Any work submitted on Thursday (11/18) will still qualify the student for Friday's session. Thank you for your help with this and your support!

Donation buckets will be available at the game and donations of new toys will be collected at the gate.
