Hello SIMS family,
Tomorrow (8/25) and Thursday (8/26), we will be iReady Testing at SIMS. The Reading Diagnostic Assessment will take place on Wednesday, and the Math Diagnostic Assessment will take place on Thursday. These assessments are very important, so please make sure that your students are well-rested and ready to give it their BEST! Also, please make sure that their Chromebooks are fully charged.
Because of testing, we will be operating on a modified schedule tomorrow and Thursday. If your student is home for any reason and will not be at school tomorrow or Thursday, they can take the assessment at home by going to Clever, logging in with Google, and selecting the iReady Reading icon on Wednesday and selecting the iReady Math icon on Thursday. They do not HAVE to do this at home, but they have the option to so that they won't have to complete it upon returning to school.
If your student is absent for any reason, they will have the opportunity to join a Google Meet with their teachers and access work through Google Classroom. This will give them a window into the class, but they will need to email the teachers if they have any questions about the assignments and/or content.
Please see the attached schedule to know what times classes will be held tomorrow and Thursday if your student chooses to join. Friday will be a normal day as far as the schedule goes along with next week and the weeks to follow. Google Meets will be available to students who are absent.
Related Arts classes will not be available on Google Meets unless they are a high school credit course.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the school. We are more than happy to assist you!
Take care, and GO TIGERS!
